ABOUT
Vaal 22 provides self-catering river accommodation on the banks of the Vaal River, within an hour's drive from Johannesburg.
This private estate, located on Millionaire's bend, captures the essence of peaceful country living as well as the excitement of water sports.
You are in control of your own experience whether it is to enjoy the tranquil ambiance, overlooking the calm expanse of water, or chasing the adrenalin of wake-boarding or fishing. All our facilities are on the water's edge with comfortable rooms, spacious living areas
and beautiful outdoor spaces.
Vaal 22 is only 12km west of Vanderbijlpark, on a stretch of the Vaal River that offers safety, exclusivity, and privacy.
There are plentiful nearby attractions for every need such as the Vaal Mall, Emerald Casino,
Vaal Dam and the Vredefort Dome, to name a few.
AMENITIES
Fishing
Carp, barbel and bass are the most common fish caught in the river. We offer 180m river front.
Garden
Large lawn areas and lush gardens provide space for children to play.

Strawberry Picking
Our strawberries are organically grown and freely available for picking during September and October.
Boating
Launching and mooring facilities are available for private water vessels (launching fees apply).
Kindly note that SAMSA regulations require all water vessels to be registered and operators to have a valid skipper license.

We care very much for our birds and other fauna. Please don’t litter or damage vegetation that provides habitat for precious animals.
Foosball
A games room is located in the river house and exclusively available to guests staying in the house.

GENERAL:

No additional guests will be allowed to visit or stay over without prior arrangement with the managing staff. In such an event payment for the additional overnight stay or day visitor’s fee shall be settled before the arrival of the additional guests.

We recycle 40%-60% of our waste and we ask you to assist us in separating your waste in the four rubbish bins provided in the kitchen.

Due to the fact that the property is situated next to a water body, insects can be a nuisance. Keep windows and doors closed after dark and keep the lights off if not required.

Towels are not to be removed from the house or used as swimming towels.

If a power outage occurs, contact the manager immediately. Please refrain from using candles.

No pets are allowed.

No loud music or boisterous behavior will be tolerated. Please respect the fact that this is a tranquil, residential area and keep quite after 21h00.

Please report any inoperative equipment, damages, dangers or faults immediately.

Please use water sparingly. Check that taps are closed and toilets don’t leak water after flushing.

No fireworks are allowed.
